Blakely student to compete in Ms. ABAC pageant


Jesse Still Jesse Still Jesse Still, a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, will compete for the title of Ms. ABAC at the 43nd annual pageant Feb. 23.

Still is a journalism and mass media major from Blakely who is sponsored by the ABAC Collegiate FFA.

The event begins at 7 p.m. in ABAC’s Howard Auditorium. Admission is $10. Because of limited seating, advance ticket purchase is advised by calling Ray Smith at 229-391-4809. The Ag Business Club is sponsoring the event.

Some contestants are sponsored by campus groups, including clubs, residence halls, athletic teams, and student media. Participants will compete in casual and evening wear. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges.

Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies.

All proceeds of the Ms. ABAC pageant will benefit the Ms. ABAC Scholarship and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
