Warrant leads to arrest


Calloway Calloway Execution of a search warrant July 26 led to the arrest of Allen Calloway, 32, of Blakely who has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The search warrant was the culmination of an investigation by Sheriff’s investigators into illegal drug sales reportedly taking place at 212 Palmetto St.

During the search a quantity of marijuana packaged for sale, money and a firearm were recovered. Calloway was present at the home at the time of the search.

Additional charges may be filed pending crime lab analysis of pharmaceuticals seized during the search.

The Sheriff ’s Office was assisted in the search by the City of Blakely Marshal’s Office and would like to thank them for their service.
