Bobcats take down Worth County Ram ball carrier in big win at Standifer Field Friday night. Bobcats take down Worth County Ram ball carrier in big win at Standifer Field Friday night. The Bobcats took down the Worth County Rams Friday 27-7 in another big home win.

The opening kick from the Rams gave the Cats good field position, however the Cats went three and out and punted the ball away.

The Rams put together a great opening drive, but on fourth down they make the decision to go for it, and fail giving the ball to the electrifying Bobcat offense.

They do not disappoint as quarterback Asher White pitches on the option to running back Javiah Wimberly for a 14-yard touchdown to take the lead. Alex Warr drilled the PAT and gave the Bobcats an early 7-0 lead.

The physical Bobcats’ defense forced a fumble and linebacker Jay Ealey recovered on the Rams’ 15. The Cats scored on a 13-yard pass from White to Braveon George. Warr’s kick made it 14-0.

The Bobcat defense then stuffed the Rams, forcing a three and out and a punt.

White then rifled a pass to wide receiver Jamone King who took it to the house for a 40- yard TD, and Warr would nail another PAT extending the lead to 21-0.

The Rams turned the ball over on downs again and the Cats moved down field quickly on a big catch from wide receiver Montravious George. Wide receiver Braveon George then swept around the right side and broke a tackle near the goal line to score.

Coach Joel Harvin faked the PAT and went for two, but the pass fell incomplete and the Cats took a 27-0 lead into the half.

The Rams opened the second half with a 15 play drive and scored, making the score 27-7 midway through the third quarter.

The rest of the game passed quickly as the Rams couldn’t find the offensive success they had on the first drive, and both teams would let the time tick away.

The Bobcat defense stood strong for the third week in a row allowing 10 points total over the last three weeks.

After the game Harvin had little to say to the team other than his two biggest words, “Who’s Back?”

The Cats are off this week. They return to action in Tallassee, Ala., Sept. 21. Come support your Cats on the road.
