Hurricane Michael

Early Tuesday morning the National Hurricane Center was reporting Hurricane Michael was 455 miles South of Panama City. The storm’s sustained winds had increased to 100 mph and it was moving NNW at 12 mph.

The storm was expected to make landfall Wednesday morning in the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend and could be packing winds of 110 to 120 mph.

Michael is projected to move northeastward across the southeastern United States Wednesday night and Thursday, producing four to eight inches of rainfall, with isolated maximum amounts of 12 inches through Friday in the Florida Panhandle, southeast Alabama and Southwest Georgia.
